Murder: Joos Joubert 69 shot dead; Joos van der Schyff badly assaulted in farm attack at Mamogalieskraal, Brits, NW

69-year-old Joos Joubert was shot dead Monday evening on a farm in the Mamogalieskraal region near Brits,
confirmed SAPS col Sabata Mokgwabone. Mr Joubert was with two other people - farmer Joos van der Schyf and Joubert's girlfriend when three black males invaded the homestead.
They tied up the girlfriend, Ella. Nothing whatsoever was 'robbed' from the homestead.
The three-man gang had simply stormed inside and started shooting. It's not known what kind of weapons were used.
Mr Joubert was shot dead at the scene. The three black males fled in a white Isuzu-double-cabbed bakkie.
The SAPS investigates murder and armed robbery. Anyone with information may contact the Brits SAPS at 012 381 6000.
