Yolanda Venter writes on BKA Sept 9 2014. This resident of Kriel was assaulted and injured by 'strikers'. They have closed off both entrances to the town with burning-tyre barricades.
They are planning to hold all the residents captive for this entire week because they cannot get jobs at the mine and don't realize they need qualifications for jobs.'
