Richards Bay residents be alert! Local man Mr Apie van der Walt (62) picture attached, was shot dead in Enkeldoringdraai, Arboretum, at 00:10 this morning September 29 2014. He was sitting watching TV, heard a noise at the front of his home, opened the curtain to look outside, and was shot in his abdomen through the window!
KILLER IDENTIFIED:
An African male clad in black clothing and a balaclava was seen by him. The criminal then ran away. Mr Van der Walt died shortly thereafter in hospital.
This is the third person shot by an African male in Arboretum in the last two weeks or so.
All the victims thus far have been white. (Two males and one female.)
One has passed away.(Confirmed by SAPS Richards Bay).
