Survived: Afrikaner mother and daughter Yvonne Botha 79 and Lettia Van Tonder 60: attacked by two black males

Two elderly Afrikaner women, Yvonne Botha 79 and her daughter Lettia van Tonder 60: attacked, brutally beaten, guns stolen, shot at with their own guns: Mrs Van Tonder shot the black assailant named by the police as " David " in the stomach in self-defence: he was arrested at 21h00. Report by Mrs Yvonne Botha's daughter Fredericka Elize Botha Koekemoer: "Herewith the information about the attacks on my mother Yvonne Botha and my sister Lettia Van Tonder Friday evening around 18h00. Two barbarians, one named Beki, the other David, gained access to my mother's house by crawling through an open window. They repeatedly kicked her in the face and beat her. She was tied up with her own clothes, repeated murder-threats were shouted at her while they first held a knife against her throat and then threatened to shoot her with her own gun when they found it in the gun-safe. They threw the duvet and blankets over her and tried to smother her to death. They rummaged throughout the entire house claiming to be looking for money. They left her house with her bank card revolver and rings. After my mother managed to untie herself and fled to my sister's house nearby, the two blacks showed up at her house too and fired three shots at my sister - who grabbed her own revolver and shot back, injuring DAvid in the stomach. The two black men attacked my sister -- who has only one hand. They managed to wrestle the gun from her. They left her house with her cellphone and a carton of cigarettes and now have two guns in their possession belonging to my mother and my sister. Her house is covered in blood: suspected to be from David's hand: we suspect he cut it when he broke the window and he was also bleeding from the stomach-wound. We traced David at around 22hh00 and he confessed that he had attacked my mother and my sister and also provided information about his comrade Bheki to the police in Bronkhorstspruit. The police found two of my mother's stolen rings and a bracelet, as well as a .38 magazine, in David's possession. David already had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for failing to show up for his trial for earlier transgressions. Both ladies were strong-minded and managed to keep calm throughout the attack. We have heard unconfirmed reports that Beki was seen running on the dirt-road to Bronkhorstspruit on Friday-evening and was shouting as people were shooting at him. He never believed that two whites (old magogs) could ever rubbish them like that. It's believed that he may have shown up later that night at Dark City clinic in Ekangala with a gunshot-injury to one leg.
