Kuruman state hospital dumps human blood into the street, creating health danger:
Dec 9 2014 Afriforum civil rights watchdog Afriforum warns that the Health Department in the North Cape is 'not the least bit concerned about the human blood which is
running from the Kuruman State Hospital into the street. This poses a serious health hazard to residents (picture).
Die Gesondheidsdepartement steur hulle nie aan menslike bloed wat uit die Kuruman-staatshospitaal in die straat inloop nie. Dit hou ernstige gesondheidsgevare vir die dorp se inwoners in en moet dringend opgelos word.
Afriforum's North Cape's provincial coordinator Stefan Pieterse warned that the blood could end up in the ground water which the farmers there use to irrigate their crops with."This means that contaminated blood from ill human beings can be used to spray crops and people would get contaminated via the crops.'"What leaves is totally speechless is that the Health Department is fully away of this yet ignores it'. "This year is being marked by a great many violent riots by local communities who are dissatisfied about the way their communities are managed.
Yet when we see situations like this, this anger is totally understandable, said Pieterse.
Afriforum arranged to truck in clean water to the black community in Barkley East after local residents rioted about the situation. Afriforum did not say why there is so much blood flowing from the hospital.
