Muldersdrift: another smallholder murdered, wife brutally beaten:
Drift Reaction group reports that an unidentified male home-owner was first bludgeoned with a wooden post and a brick. When the confused old man, unarmed, stumbled back inside,
he was bludgeoned to death with a spade and his wife savagely assaulted.
When the four black gunmen ambushed the homeowner - two of thugs had firearms. After looting the man's gun-safe, they now have six firearms... and are very aggressive and dangerous.
The elderly homeowner had gone outside without taking a gun from his legally-required gunsafe. Why keep guns in a safe in such a dangerous area as Muldersdrift:

8 January 2015: Drift Reaction cc reports: "At about midnight an elderly man (thus far unidentified) heard the dogs barking outside.
He went to his storeroom where he was surprised by four armed black male suspects (two with firearms and two with knives).
He was hit with a wooden post and a brick and left outside.
They then went into the house where they found his elderly wife. They tied her up and severely assaulted her.
-- The male homeowner stumbled back into the house where he surprised the suspects in the kitchen. One of them then hit him at the back of his head with a shovel.
He died on the kitchen floor. They then proceeded to assault his wife, demanding money and firearms and threatening her with savage behavior.
-- The four gunmen took time to drink some alcohol and making arrangements for a car to come and collect the loot.
They ransacked the house and made off with four firearms, ammunition, cash, cell phones, computers, IPAD and other valuables.
The severely injured woman battled to free herself for quite some time and then succeeded to push the panic button.
When the Iron Fist Squad and Tactical Reaction Units arrived at the scene they found her sitting with her dead husband’s head on her lap in the kitchen.
SAPS Muldersdrift was called to the scene and SAPS sergeant Manana is investigating.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends. I have spoken to the client’s son in law who also said that the deceased client’s daughter is expecting twins and
they are trying to minimize the shock on her. The client's wife was admitted to hospital for her injuries.

DANGERS OF LETTING OUT DWELLINGS AND ALLOWING PEOPLE TO ERECT SHACKS ON YOUR PROPERTY
Muldersdrift smallholders warned by Drift Reaction cc.: "We have received reports about residents on smallholdings allowing people to build structures on the property and then asking the dwellers rent and money for water. This is an extremely dangerous thing to do and not only dangerous to yourself, but all your neighbours! Do you know that you as the landowner will NOT be allowed to simply kick the dwellers off your property even if they don’t pay? The Law is quite clear about this.
Owners also find themselves in hot water because the dwellers simply grow and erect structures without permission and the owner cannot do much about this. In fact you are creating another informal settlement with the danger of your property being taken over and you forced off your own land! To have the dwellers removed will cost you more than R200 000 and a High Court Order as well as months of legal battles.
Please rethink this behavior and if you see any dwelling on your property, have the dwelling broken down and the person removed within 72-hours! Not even the police are allowed to remove squatters. “Shack farming” is extremely dangerous.
Criminals just love moving into these “protected” areas and also operate from there. Don’t endanger your own and the lives of the people around you for a supposed income that you are
