Lydenburg: 19 Jan 2015 - “I will kill you, you f*cking boer!” Those were the words allegedly used by Steelpoort businessman Shikwane Morgan
Makgogo, who purchased the Morgenson guest-house at a sheriff's auction. The guest house was registered in his name in August 2014.
In the purchase-agreement a clause was accepted by Mr Makgogo establishing that the tenants in the guest house - Theron and Adriana Verwey,
would be refunded for the improvements they had made to the guest-house.
This was said by the lawyer of the Verwey couple, who said: "my clients are legally occupying 20 Maasdorp Street, Morgenson guest house.
The previous owner did not pay the bank and the house was sold at public auction. Makgogo bought the house.
At this auction, the conditons of the sales contract were read publicly to all present, indicating that the Verwey couple had "retention-rights' on the property
because of the improvements which had become necessary while they lived there and had undertaken themselves.That day Makgogo himself told me that 'it would not be a problem and that he would pay the Verwey couple for the improvements they had paid for.
We negotiated and agreed mutually that we would be willing to reduce the costs of the improvements if the Verwey couple could continue to live in the guest house at a reasonable
rental price, ' said attorney Derick Heroldt.
Since the sale Heroldt received a number of letters from 'countless other attorneys' claiming to act on behalf of Makgogo.
Yet that very same Makgogo showed up on Monday 19 January 2015 out of the blue and physically chased the white Afrikaner couple from the guest house.
