Survives brick-bashing by 7 black males in second attack at Toti station: Johan Paulson 28, passed out after attack Friday 13 March 2015

Some 7 black males who had followed Mr Johan Paulson from a commuter train on Friday 13 March 2015 at around 1h45pm bashed him out cold with bricks, and stole some R1,100 from his backpack. The Amanzimtoti resident who commutes to work by train, was attacked within minutes after getting off the train at the Amanzimtoti railway station. He was attacked by the large group of men inside the station on Friday, 13 March at about 1.45pm. They struck after Paulson (28) had removed some money from his backpack and placed it in his pockets. “I was walking up a flight of stairs to Ridge Road where I live, when I felt a blow to my head. I think about six or seven people surrounded me.” The robbers made off with R1,100. (about $80 dollars US). He was hit with a brick or bricks, said police. He blacked out, struck the stairs and sustained injuries to his forehead and ribs. He also was injured three months earlier when a group of people tried to rob him on the bridge at the same railway station.
