This programme also documents the dramatic history of the poor-white Kroningspark squatter camp in Krugersdorp and the feisty matriarch Irene Van Niekerk's fight for the survival of her clan. She had to watch the well-constructed squatter camp being bulldozed by the Krugersdorp ANC-authorities and their forced removal to a rubbish tip next to the Dunsieville black township, where they have no running water, no food-aid, no proper housing ( they live on dirt floors in tiny shanties ) and they are slowly starving to death.
