5 July 2013 by Earl Baillache AMANZIMTOTI. The unarmed John Hatfield (40) was "involved in a scuffle with seven men and stabbed twice in the back" while walking along Entombeni Drive on Friday, 21 June at about 5.30pm. Nothing was stolen and his jacket, containing money, was dropped a few metres away from where he was stabbed, indicating robbery was not a motive for the murder.John’s family has offered a R5,000 reward leading to the conviction of the murderer.
