Brandfort widow Elsabeth du Bruyn (71) was found murdered, tied with her hands and feet, at 09h00 by her housekeeper and neighbours in her Brandfort, Free State home. ,There also was a rope around her neck, reports Afrikaans daily Volksblad. It is suspected, said SAPS constable Maselela Langa, that she was attacked around 08h00 the previous evening. CONFIRMED BY SAPS SPOKESMAN MASELELA LANGA FREESTATE: The body of a murdered Afrikaner woman, Mrs Elizabeth De Bruyn, 71 was found in her home at Brandfort, OFS on Friday 6 September 2013 at 12h00 noon as reported by Marida Joose. (The De Bruyn family reportedly ran a transport company but this has not been confirmed). The SAPS is at the scene.
CONFIRMATION RECEIVED: "SAPS spokesman Maselela Langa confirmed that her body, tied up by hands and feet, were found by her neighbours and her housekeeper. Two firearms are missing from the house. The SAPS is 'tracing the suspects based on the forensic evidence left behind'.
