This claim was made by a family member after Mr Kieser's body was roped from a ravine on tne Michells Pass outside Ceres in the West Cape where he had been killed. The unnamed friend attended the court-appearance in Moorreesburg of the three accused and said: "she wanted to come and see who the people were who hurt uncle Johan."I wanted to 'stare them to death', and I want to know how and why he was hurt". Co-accused Charise Doubell's mother said she was so tormented about the death that she contacted police detectives in Brackenfell and told them about it. The daughter of a woman who now lives in Australia, and who had been engaged to Mr Kieser years earlier, told Die Burger her mother 'ws just as shocked about the news'' She described Mr Kieser as a 'well-dressed, tough old Afrikaner man, always painfully neat'. Heystek and Jeanne Kieser, the murdered dog-handler's daughter, are overwhelmed by messages of concern from the dog-world. A private cremation is being planned. It's details are unknown. ■  The three suspects applied for legal aid and expected to appear in the same court on Wednesday to apply for bail.
