Survived attack in traffic-rage: Afrikaner air-hostess Chantelle Bisschoff hit, spit at by driver who hit her car from behind

Survived assault: Afrikaner air-hostess Chantelle Bisschoff, who is the girlfriend of singer Armand Hofmeyr, was hit and spit upon by a black man who had hit her car from behind when she swerved to avoid a stationary Volvo on the oncoming lane on the N12 Fochville - Potchefstroom highway. It was pouring with rain when Ms Bisschoff drove to her parental home from Mozambique. Ms Bisschoff believed that the black man of the Golf driver who hit her car at highspeed from behind was drunk at the time. However the police failed to take any breathalizer tests and also did not take Ms Bisschoff's statement at the crime scene. She was lucky to be alive: she spotted the stopped car in the pouring rain just in time, hit her brakes, and slid across the tarmax against the grass along the roadside. . Armand said to Maroela Media, the internet website of the civil rights group Afriforum, that as she slid sideways and avoided the stationary Volvo, a second car, a Golf, hit hers at high speed and then a third car also in turn hit the Golf in a three-car accident. “"The man in the Golf was apparently so drunk that he fell down as he stepped from his car. He headed straight for Chantelle and hit her across the face with bloodied hands and then spit her in the face.' said Armand to Maroela media. Meanwhile the driver of the stationary Volvo whcih had caused the accident got back into his car and drove off. It's not known why he decided to stop in the middle of a high-speed traffic lane in the pouring lane. Armand said the police showed up and took declarations from the Golf's driver and the third car's driver but they completely ignored Ms Bisschoff. He said she will lodge a formal statement about the accident to the Potchefstroom police. The driver of the Golf was taken away by paramedics in an ambulance. Armand said 'other people at the scene also said the man smelled of beer'. Ms Bisschoff's dad drove from Klerksdorp to fetch his daughter and she now is with her parents - but very much in shock and bcomplaining of back- and neck-pain after the accident.
