Police believe this man could be of assistance in the investigation into the murder of ex-SAPS district commissioner colonel Gerrit 'Billy' Myburgh.

the former police district commissioner of Heidelberg who was murdered on his smallholding outside town in the early hours of August 5.
Myburgh was allegedly tortured with a hot clothes iron before being strangled with his own pyjamas.

Retired police-commissioner Gerrit Billy Myburgh 79, tortured to death, smallholding at Plot 82 Kwikstertjie Street, Boschfontein, Heidelberg: Gauteng:
the retired Afrikaner police commissioner was hogtied by his hands and feet, tortured with a hot iron, and an entire kettle of boiling water was also 'used on him". Then he was strangled with his own clothes. The SAPS did not register this torture-death as a hatecrime although the SA regime is a signatory to the Rome Convention requiring them to do so. As usual in such horrific torture-murders of Afrikanersthey are only investigating 'an ordinary murder and housebreaking case'.

5 August 2013 Christiaan Cloete of Heidelberg/Nigel Heraut reports that retired police commissioner Gerrit Bill Myburgh 79 suffered terribly at the hands of a cruel black-male attackers. Thus far only his 'gardener was taken in for questioning', however.
The torture-gang, described as 'robbers', hogtied the old police officer by his hands and feet, tortured him with a hot iron, and a kette of boiling water.
Then he was strangled to death with his own clothes. The torture-murder was committed on Myburgh's smallholding in Boschfontein on 4 August 2013 police believe.
SAPS captain Thivulavi Tshilate said the 'robbery' have occurred between 9pm and the next morning.
The gang escaped in Myburgh's black Mazda 3 and tore his registered firearms safe, containing a 12-bore shotgun, a .22 pistol and a .22 rifle, from the wall and dragged it with them.
They also took his ceremonial police sable. They didn't 'rob' the car: it was found torched early on 6 august next to the Vaaldam Road outside Ratanda near a farm named Nooitgedacht.
It was his 19-year-old granddaughter Elna Pieterse who found her granddad's tortured body on 5 August 2013 in his bedroom.
Tshilate confirmed that the black gardener 'was taken in for questioning.'
