Security guard Stiaan Kotze survives three gunshots fired by 5 black attackers, BP petrol station, West Rand Sept 19 2013 -- Gordon of the Boere Krisis Aksie group on Facebook writes that one of their members, Stiaan Kotze, survived three gunshot wounds at a BP petrol station at the West Rand on Wednesday September 18 2013."Stiaan works as a security officer. He went to fetch money from a BP station at the West Rand and was shot and injured three times. One of five black males, pretending to be customers, tried to avert his attention. Stiaan ignored him and walked to the cash-transit van. When Stiaan turned around he stared into the barrel of a pistol and these five thugs just started shooting. One bullet scraped across his face, one round went into a hand, and another round in a foot. And as he was helpless and injured on the ground, the rubbish was still shooting at him. They then fled with the BP station's cash-takings. SAPS and ambulance were on the scene very quickly. Mr Kotze will undergo surgery on Thursday to remove the bullets and to repair the damage to his cheek. We pray that Stiaan will soon recover." -------------- https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=723579087668639&set=a.178568022169751.48293.116298045063416&type=1&theater ---------------- On the same day there also were violent riots around the Randfontein area. Criminal gangs often use these riots - either from 'industrial strikes' or from 'service delivery protests' to stage armed robberies targeting businesses and homes while the SAPS are occupied patrolling the riot-area.
