A man in a silver car saw her running on the highway - and he turned around despite the large crowd of rioters to help her."I only know his name as Solomon. They gave taxi commuters picks and shovels, instructing them to dig trenches in the road. Trucks loaded with sand were also compelled to stop and to offload their cargo in the middle of the road. This was allegedly part of a "protest by EFF members." Upon turning into the Pienaarsrivierpoort Road, the Rekord team — Dup Martins and Eliot Mahlase — came across dark smudges on the road where tyres had been set alight. “We then passed two trenches dug in the road,” said Martins. “Driving on, we encountered a barrier of sand and dirt piled about 1.5 metres high. Young men were sitting on the embankment, deciding which vehicles should be allowed to pass through.” When the team tried to take pictures of the barricade, between ten and fifteen young men loitering next to the road stormed the car and started pelting it with stones. One of the stones were thrown right into the vehicle, narrowly missing the driver and shattering the window. “No photos, no photos,” one of the young men shouted. Martins said: “We were forced to take a side-road to get away from the angry mob. We made a U-turn where this dirt road ended and had no choice but to drive past the crowd again. George, who sleeps on a reclining chair in the lounge because of his heart, recounted how he heard his small dog, Scoobie, barking just before 1am yesterday. He woke his wife and the couple peered through their security gate and saw a gang of men interfering with their neighbour’s car in the street. He said the repeated failure of police to react to frequent neighborhood crime left them disheartened. “Brenda went back to bed, but a while later Scoobie barked again and I saw the men sitting on the roundabout in the park down the road. “At about 2.30am he barked again and this time I went outside onto the pavement because they had my neighbor’s bonnet open and were removing her battery.” George said he shouted at the men, who ignored him. “As I turned to go back towards my front gate they hit me from behind with a plank about three times and punched me in the face. “Every time I tried to get up they hit me again. I felt lame and thought I was having another heart attack.”The couple said five of the men rushed into their house. Two accosted Brenda in her bedroom, while three stripped the lounge of a flatscreen TV, an amplifier, a camera and a tablet. George’s silver chain was ripped from his neck.“I was lying in the gutter and I could hear Brenda screaming but I could not get up. Seven years after farmer Jaco Oosterhuis (51) survived a farm-attack, he stood next to his older brother Wimpie's hospital bed after he was brutally assaulted and shot. The 54-year-old Wimpie was attacked on his farm near Delmas, Leandra with his wife Sunet on Wednesday evening 4 February 2015. Jaco told MaroelaMedia.co.za that Wimpie and Sunet arrived at their farm around 20h00 and were ambushed by 'three or four' farm attackers. "His garage is about 30m away from the homestead and when he opened the door, he was attacked. They kicked him and beat him and demanded money. Sunette also suffered assaults. The Afrikaner couple were tied up outside their homestead while the thugs plundered it - fleeing with their bakkie and taking away electronics such as a TV, a laptop computer and their cellphones, but leaving behind everything else. "My brother wasn't at the house to find out exactly what else was robbed,' said Jaco. "When the thugs fled they got out of their bonds and took their other car to drive to neighbours where help was summonsed. The bakkie wasn't 'stolen' - it was abandoned. Wimpie was taken to the Mediclinic Highveld in Trichard near Secund. He underwent surgery and was still in surgery when the hospital was contacted by Maroela Media who found out that he had scrapnel in his arm so we suspect he was also shot'. He was attacked by three blacks in his home on his maize farm near Delmas -- in bed. Culpible homicide: Ramsgate Afrikaner Louis van Wyk 58 electrocuted by illegal electricity wire on N2 toll road southboard Seaslopes off-ramp near squatter camp KwaZulu-Natal Ramsgate resident Louis van Wyk (58), died in the arms of his wife, Caron, after he stepped on a live electric wire hidden in the grass on the side of the N2 toll road’s southbound Seaslopes off-ramp. Police spokesman Captain Gerald Mfeka has confirmed that the live electric wire was part of an illegal electricity connection. Police were investigating the matter. If the culprit responsible for setting up the connection was apprehended he or she would face prosecution (for culpible homicide), he said. According to Mrs van Wyk she and her husband and their nephew, Jamey Bailey, had arranged to meet a friend at the Sea slopes off-ramp on Saturday last weekend. They turned off the freeway and parked their vehicle on the shoulder of the road. Mr van Wyk stepped a few paces off the road and was suddenly thrown to the ground. Alerted by his groans, Mrs van Wyk ran to help him, screaming for Mr Bailey to assist her. Without knowing what had caused Mr van Wyk to collapse, Mrs van Wyk put her own life in danger by rushing to his aid but Mr Bailey, realizing the problem, grabbed a canvas bag and was able to pull Mr van Wyk away from the wire. He started cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the electrocuted man but was unsuccessful. In the meantime Mrs van Wyk was trying desperately to summon help and eventually reached her family doctor, who arrived soon after he’d been telephoned. He’d also contacted an ambulance service and paramedics arrived after he had reached the scene. However, the electrocution victim was beyond all help. Although there are rumors that other people had been electrocuted at that spot and that the live wire had been brought to the notice of the authorities earlier, these are unconfirmed. Captain Mfeka said Mr van Wyk had been the only electrocution victim who had died at that exact spot. However, illegal electricity connections in the nearby Masinenge informal settlement were an ongoing problem. Margate police were often called upon to accompany Eskom officials investigating illegal connection complaints, he said. He was unaware of any other fatality caused by illegal use of electricity in the vicinity of Masinenge but said a young Masinenge man had recently escaped death after stepping on a live wire while playing soccer with his friends. At the time of going to press, police had still not confirmed whether the electric wire that had caused the fatality had been disconnected, but the area where Mr van Wyk died has been cordoned off. Survived: Afrikaner resident of Pretoria, Hugo Meyer 45, was stabbed 3 times, then a gang of black men tried to drown him in the ocean at Mtwalume beach Sunday morning. 1 February 2015: Mtwalume, South Africa. The Afrikaner man was stabbed, kicked and hit and then dragged into the sea by a gang of men who tried to drown him. He had to watch helplessly while some of the men dragged his girlfriend Cherné van der Merwe (38) at knife point towards the bush. Mr Meyer, his friend Heine Cronje (54) and Ms van der Merwe, had just arrived from Pretoria to visit family when they were viciously attacked on the beach. Mr Cronje said it was about 3am when they arrived at his parents’ home, and it was tradition after a long drive to put their feet in water and feel the sand. “Cherné and Hugo went down to the water’s edge while I sat waiting for them on the narrow footpath. I was unable to see them from where I was sitting,” said Mr Cronje. Five minutes later a man showed up who pointed a gun at him. The man told Mr Cronje he was going to shoot and kill him. Mr Cronje challenged him and attempted to grab the gun. Meanwhile, unbeknown to him, a group of men had dragged Ms van der Merwe close to where he was sitting. During the scuffle with the gun, she managed to flee and hide in the bushes. Mr Cronje said the men then grabbed the cooler bag and liquor and fled. He then ran to the beach to look for his friends. “I then saw Hugo floating in the water. I thought a shark had bitten him as the sea around him was red,” he said. Mr Cronje pulled Mr Meyer out of the water and then ran to his parents’ home to get help. He thought his friend was going to die on the beach. Within half an hour, members of Mtwalume Neighbourhood Watch and paramedics arrived to assist Mr Meyer and help search for Ms van der Merwe. Mr Meyer was transported to hospital. In the meantime, an extremely traumatised Ms Van der Merwe had hidden in the bush and finally plucked up the courage to venture out at sunrise. Mr Cronje said they were very grateful that they were alive to tell the story. South Africa's lawlessness has become so disturbingly large that international drugs syndicates use the country as their 'safe havens' to trade drugs on a large scale to the rest of the world. An investigation launched by Maroela Media has found that international drugs-syndicates already are so well-established that they are operating like any legal business-enterprise in South Africa, run among the principles of structured company principles. Centurion south of Pretoria is one of the headquarters where one of the most influential tribal-run Nigerian drugs-cartels run their internationa trade and supply the South African market with their vile products. The details of the way this drugs-cartel is being run was revealed to Maroela Media in a series of interviews with a South African woman who was romantically involved with the boss of the syndicate and now is hiding in a safe place. Millions of rands worth of hidden drugs are flown out of South Africa by 'mules' on international flights. This continues unabated - despite the fact that countless young South Africans now are languishing in prisons worldwide after they were caught at airports with the syndicates' drugs. We interviewed Sonette Redelinghuys* (29, not her own name) who was only 16 years old when she arrived in Pretoria from the countryside. The innocent girl got mixed up with drugs for the first time in Pretoria and until six months ago, there was never a day when she wasn't on a high. Except when she had to fly as a drug-mule twice a month for her Nigerian drugs-bosses to foreign destinations. Then they swore to kill her if she didn't 'stay clean' of drugs on her flights. The money was good and the adrenaline pumped every time she took another chance to take a travel bag, packed with 3kg of cocaine, to fly abroad. Later on in her life her drug-habit cost her more than $100 (R1000) a day. Despite her drug-abuse the darkhaired Sonette still is very attractive today. Her beauty and intelligence was put to good use when she managed to move into one of the Nigerian drugs-cartels when the cartel-boss fell in love with her and wouldn't let her work as a drug-mule any longer. By that time she was flying to Istanbul, Thailand and Malaysia. Her boss appointed her to make all the travel arrangements for the other 'mules'. These arrangements were always the same and had to be carried out with nearly military precision so that nothing could go wrong. When she still worked as a drug-mule, she was always called in at the last minute and checked in at a hotel in Centurion or in Midrand, both near the Johannesburg International Airport. Shortly before her arrival at the airport one of the cartel-members would bring her a pre-prepared travel bag and had her repack the luggage. At that stage, one kg of cocaine would already be hidden inside the bag. Two containers which looked like chocolate boxes but were much heavier, were strategically placed amongst her clothes - also containing 1kg cocaine each. 'The packaging is prepared so that the airport scanners cannot detect anything suspicious." She then received her flight tickets, 500 American dollars and R300 in cash. The South African money was used to wrap the bag in cellophane at the airport. Shortly after her arrival at the hotelroom in her foreign destination, she would receive her first phone call from South Africa to make certain she arrived safely. Someone then fetches the drugs in her room and she remains antoher four or five days in the country to avoid drawing suspicion to herself. Then she flies home where she receives R20,000 (*$2000) in cash for her courier work. Sonette said that the drugs-trade in South Africa, and its export, is controlled by 20 cartel-bosses who run their trade along very strict, businesslike lines. Six months ago she realised she couldn't continue living like this - and simply walked away. It was very difficult to break her drug-dependancy. One of the facts which saved her, is that she never used needles to inject herself with cocaine - called 'mainlining'. “Today I heartbroken when I realize how many of the people I handled as mules, are sitting in prisons worldwide,' she said. Dr Krige warned that young people don't realise that the drugs they buy on the streets are very dangerous and can kill them. "What they think they are buying, and what's really in those packets, are not the same things', he said."These drug-dealers are without any conscience, and they will mix the drugs with anything imaginable to increase the volume. From rat-poison to baby powder is used to chase up their profit-margins." Krige's oldest son Michael, 38, was just like his dad, one of those drug-dealers who spent time in prison. For years, father and son didn't speak to one another until Michael stepped out of his old life and now uses his knowledge of the underworld and the drugs-market to help rehabilitate young drugs-slaves. Up to 3 years ago, Michael 'cooked' cocaine and cat for a corrupt police-general in Kenya. This general provided all the ephedrine which was confiscated by the Kenyan police at Nairobi airport to Michael 's laboratory. Besides all the rehabilitation work at House Regeneration, Michael also undertakes research about the workings and new tendencies used by the drugs-cartels to stay in control of the illicit drugs-trade in South Africa. The Nigerian drugs-cartels are in fact in control of all the preparation and distribution of most of the street drugs in South Africa. They run a tightly-controlled, closed operation, using their tribal families internationally and maintain close ties with their roots in Nigeria."Young recruits are brought from the tribal homelands into South Africa as foot-soldiers for the cartels, sonamed 'runners'. After a while, as they get settled in, they are put in control of a group of 'runners' " said Michael in his interview with Maroela Media."Various cartels each have their own demarcated territories where drugs are distributed and trading in drugs is run like a well-oiled machine." Each group of (Nigerian) runners live in one house together and use a variety of cellphones with which they are constantly taking orders. In another part of the house the drugs are packed and the money is handled as it arrives.'"The service is excellent and the clients get excellent service: phone and order and chose,' said Michael."It can be delivered to your house or picked up at a pre-established street-corner." The big bosses of the cartels meet once a week to discuss strategies and the in- and export of their product. 'In most cases a suite is booked at a popular casino's hotel in Gauteng'."The cartel-bosses always use code-names and their true identity is not generally known. Key persons in the police and customs departments are bought off in exchange for protection of the cartels' activities. "Whenever one is caught and he's released on bail he simply buys a new South African identity and uses a new code-name to continue working in the same trade.' It is estimated that more than a monthly R25million's worth of drugs are exported by the cartels to other countries from South Africa." The fact that South Africa is used as a trading-route for the international drugs-market also means that the country is 'not very popular' amongst the European and North-American anti-drugs policing agencies.' Survive knifing attack: Young Warmbaths residents Johan van der Merwe, Jaco Maritz and Charles Duggan were seriously injured wen the 3 Afrikaner residents of Warmbaths, South Africa were attacked on 31 January by a black gangs who stormed into their homes and stabbed them repeatedly with knives. The local South African police station commander Colonel Lindie Marx said the police were patrolling the area because they had received a tip-off from the community that a black male gang was planning to attack Afrikaner homes in the Forever-Resorts in Warmbaths' personnel housing units on 31 January 2015. The gang managed to evade the police patrols however and three Afrikaner families were attacked in their homes: JOhan van der Merwe, Jaco Maritz and Charles Duggan were stabbed down that Saturday-evening put up a good fight, it is being reported. Johan van der Merwe reportedly was stabbed the worst and remains in hospital by 7 February 2015. Van der Merwe was attacked in the Afrikaans High School Warmbad's personnel housing unit's hostel where his father is a teacher. His dad wasn't home that evening. Maritz en a girlfriend were attacked at the 'Tuin Tuiste' bed and breakfast, opposite the Afrikaans Primary School's sports grounds after attending a friend's wedding that day. Maritz'father Hans said "They wanted to kill my son, there is no doubt about it. Jaco confronted them however and also made certain that no-one in the house got injured and fought with them until they left." He remains in intensive care at the Muelmed hospital. He was stabbed frantically and repeatedly in his lungs, stomach and face. Col Lindie Marx , who visited all 3 crime scenes, told "Die Pos' newspaper that Duggan also confronted the attackers: screaming to his wife to bring his gun while he was fending off the black knifemen. Survives with serious brain injuries: Jacques Kemp, 37, dad of three-year-old-son; assaulted for no apparent reason by four black males in Muldersdrift 6 Feb 2015 - Thirty-seven year old Jacques Kemp is recovering at his parental home in Johannesburg after he was brutally attacked and sustained severe head-injuries which have left him with amnesia and epilepsy. He was helping family move in his bakkie that Friday-evening and was returning from Poortview to Krugersdorp when he was assaulted at a traffic light at 12h45. He was found unconscious and bleeding copiously by passing paramedics in his bakkie next to the Silverstar Casino Circle. The Muldersdrift police are only investigating a case of 'assault' but not of attempted murder. The Roodepoort Record reported that a local resident witnessed how 'a group of young (*black) men in a red VW Polo had climbed from their car and assaulted Kemp who had also stepped out of his bakkie. 'He was assaulted most cruelly, hit four times with some iron pipe. The four then jumped into their vehicle and drove away,' the resident wrote on a facebook page. 'Kemp struggled back to his bakkie where he collapsed.' It was found that he sustained serious head injuries. He required a four-hour operation to stop the bleeding after paramedics found him next to the road and took him to the Netcare hospital in Krugersdorp. Reportedly Kemp suffers memory loss and remembers nothing of the incident, has troubled eyesight and is deaf in his left ear. He will require rehabilitation and requires medication against epileptic attacks. Nobody knows what really happened and nobody was arrested. The Drift Reaction unit has asked the media to publish the details so that eye-witnesses would come forward to tell them of the event. Kemp's wife Chrisna and their three-year-old son Wian are very shocked and struggle to come to terms with it. "Wian doesn't understand why daddy doesn't come home,' Chrisna told Die Pos newspaper. She said he also is deaf in his left-ear now and that it will take him a long time to recover fully. "Until that moment we probably will never know exactly what happened. The farmers are dedicated to food-production, seed-farming in the fertile Delmas soil. They also, importantly, practice 'crop-switching' inherited from the efficient Dutch method of not using fertilisers, but instead growing different croips on several sites and leaving one site fallow to allow its recovery for a season. This practice of leaving one sit fallow and fertilise it by grazing small livestock, created friction amongst the so-called 'land-activists' in South Africa and with the ANC-regime and its straw-party the Economic Freedom Front inciting blacks to 'take over unused land' for occupation with their shanties. There are groups organised to invade such fallow farm-land and build its shanty towns on it. It's very difficult to have these illegal squatters, who strip down the entire environment and the assets at a rapid rate.
