TWO unarmed, young Afrikaner couples were shot repeatedly; and seriously injured on March 8 2014 in two seperate attacks by black male gangs in Alberton/Glen Vista: the gangs came crashing into the homes with their guns blazing 16h30 and 8pm (?). The young Afrikaner male victims - both critically injured - were identified as 'Frankie de Jager' and "Nico Smit' . The young females -- identified as Frankie's fiancée Liliane Van Schaik, the other girl unidentified-- also are in hospital in a serious condition, the fathers reported on March 9 2014. At this stage we have no reports of what was actually robbed but it is believed that a relative of Nico Smit fired back when he saw the children being shot in the back and may have injured one black male.
The first gang (at 16h30) fled into the nearby hills. We have no report at the moment if anything was actually 'robbed' in these incidents described as 'robberies'.![]()
